Jan 28Mercy Housing Lakefront Leadership Changes
Mercy Housing would like to announce two exciting leadership transitions.
After eight years as President of Mercy Housing Lakefront, Cindy Holler has been promoted to a new role as Senior Vice President of National Real Estate for Mercy Housing. In this role, she will remain in Chicago but will help spur innovation and accelerate development throughout the country.
Cindy joined Mercy Housing Lakefront following the 2006 merger between Lakefront Supportive Housing and Mercy Housing. At that time, the newly combined organization served about 1,435 Chicago households.
Today, Mercy Housing Lakefront provides affordable rental homes and supportive services for 2,775 households (nearly 4,000 people!) in 10 Chicago neighborhoods, Countryside, Grayslake, Aurora and 2 neighborhoods in Milwaukee, WI. Mercy Housing Lakefront is poised to soon add families in the Little Village and Homan Square neighborhoods of Chicago, veterans in Danville IL, families in Elgin, IL and a new development for families in Milwaukee! Through the sponsorship and creation of Mercy Portfolio Services and 180o Properties, we have also helped protect or renovate approximately 11,000 foreclosed homes.
The Mercy Housing Lakefront Board of Directors has appointed Mark Angelini, MHL’s Senior Vice President for Real Estate Development as the Interim President. Mark has over 30 years of community development experience and will do a great job in this new role. Mark will take on all of the duties of President of MHL and will lead a fantastic senior staff, all of whom will continue to serve in their current capacities. Please continue to work with:
- Tony Mastracci, Chief Operating Officer
- John Hinde, Senior Vice President for Mercy Housing Management
- Felix Matlock, Regional Vice President, Resident Services
- Lisa Kuklinski, Regional Vice President, New Markets & Public Affairs
- Doug Kenshol, Regional Vice President, Resource Development
Mercy Housing would also like to announce that following a thoughtful succession plan, Sister Lillian Murphy will step down as the national CEO of Mercy Housing at the end of June 2014. Mercy Housing’s National Board of Trustees has selected our current President, Jane Graf, to assume the role of Mercy Housing CEO, effective July 1, 2014. Jane has served Mercy Housing since 1992 and previously served as President of the California region and more recently as the Chief Operating Officer and then President. She is a well-respected industry leader and is fully committed to the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.
