Apr 06Batavia United Way Springs into Action
Knowing that the virus would have an impact on our most vulnerable neighbors, our friends at Batavia United Way sprang into action.
Batavia United Way coordinated a food and supply drive to provide every family and older adult residing at Mercy Housing Lakefront’s Batavia Apartments with a grocery bag filled with food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. Batavia United Way also generously pledged to fund Meals on Wheels delivery for the older adult residents, so that their health and nutrition needs continue to be met throughout the crisis.
Thank you to everyone at Batavia United Way for ensuring residents have their basic needs met and for the amazing staff at Batavia Apartments for coordinating the delivery of bags utilizing social distancing best practices.
