Jul 01Welcome Mercy Housing’s New President and CEO!
I am very pleased to announce that Ismael Guerrero has assumed his role as Mercy Housing’s President and CEO, effective today. As way of introduction, I invite you to watch the short video below:
After an exhaustive national search, we knew that there was no better person to lead Mercy Housing than Ismael. His visionary leadership and extraordinary track record of success with community building, housing, and neighborhood development have us excited for what’s on the horizon.
Ismael’s life and career are a testament to his dedication to Mercy Housing’s mission, vision, and core values. He understands that residents guide our organization and has proven unwavering commitment to empowering the people and communities that we humbly serve.
This isn’t Ismael’s first time being part of the Mercy Housing family either — for almost three years he was Vice President & Director of Real Estate Development with Mercy Housing Mountain Plains. Before taking this role as our new President & CEO, he was the Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver’s Executive Director for 13 years.
With so much going on in the world today, it’s hard to know what tomorrow holds, but rest assured, with Ismael leading Mercy Housing we are confident and inspired by what’s to come. He understands our organization and knows that the way forward is together with respect, justice, and mercy.
Yours in hope,
Sister Linda Werthman, RSM
