Jan 08Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods honors Mercy Housing Colorado with Good Neighbor Award

CHUN’s Good Neighbor Award is honoring Mercy Housing Colorado’s outreach and neighborhood participation around the redevelopment of The Aromor. Before work began, Mercy Housing Colorado staff and its partners in the development, including architect and contractor Buchanan Yonushewski Group and Denver’s Road Home representatives, met with community members to discuss their thoughts about the future of the property. As development continued, Mercy Housing Colorado held other neighborhood meetings to give updates and invite the community to future property tours.
Mercy Housing Colorado is encouraging local businesses and individuals to “adopt” a room at The Aromor by donating linens, toiletries, kitchen items and bedding that they can set up to have ready when residents move in. For more information, contact info@mercyhousing.org.
Mercy Housing Colorado thanks CHUN for this honor and looks forward to becoming an active organization within the Capitol Hill community!
