We Have Opportunities for All Types of Volunteers!
The Teacher
Spend time with K-12 youth in Mercy Housing California’s Out-of-School Time programs. Engage children in activities that may include homework assistance, STEM, art, dance, yoga, and more.
The Leader
Share your expertise (artistic, fitness, legal, or other) with Mercy Housing California residents by leading a class or workshop at a Mercy Housing community.
The Philanthropist
Greek organizations and social groups — host an event on campus or at your organization that will bring awareness to our programs and services, and support community service projects at a Mercy Housing California community.
The Giver
Organizations and groups — match your resources (backpacks, school supplies, welcome baskets, holiday decorations, and more) and availability with the needs of your adopted building.
The Industry Mentor
Organizations — engage youth in industry tours, mock interviews, tech workshops, or bring volunteers from your organization to an Out-of-School Time site for career exploration Q&A.
The Gardener
Organizations and groups — help with beautifying communities and sprucing up edible gardens. Gardeners, you may dig many opportunities including clean-up days, planting days, painting, teaching gardening to youth, and more.
The Foodie
Help with onsite food bank distributions — ensuring residents have access to healthy produce and pantry items.
The Athlete
Engage Mercy Housing residents in fitness activities, whether playing outdoor games with children in Out-of-School Time programs or leading adult residents in yoga, Zumba, or Tai Chi.
The Host(ess)
Invite people in your circle and host a private event at your home or favorite venue to raise funds for Mercy Housing California. You handpick the guests, and we will guide you through the event planning process.
