Mercy Housing California is excited to launch Mercy Virtual Program – MVP – our new distance learning program. MVP offers several unique programs: Youth Homework Hubs, Reading Tutoring, and Mercy Live classes.
Youth Homework Hubs
What: A virtual, weekly opportunity for youth to connect with Mercy Housing staff to build community, encourage homework completion, and increase social-emotional health.
When: Starting September 17. Days and times vary by community, so please check with your Resident Services Coordinator
Reading Tutoring
What: We are excited to announce that Mercy Housing California is partnering with Meaningful Teens to provide virtual, reading, tutoring to elementary-aged students. Students are paired with an expert volunteer tutor and credentialed teacher. During each session, youth will focus on literacy and reading comprehension.
When: Starting October 14th, we will host tutoring on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:15-5:00 pm.
Mercy Live Classes
What: Fun, online, classes that will spark creativity, provide hands-on-learning, and encourage health and wellness.
When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 – 4:00 pm, starting October 20, 2020.
