Jan 22Seniors at Page Commons Get Adopted
Mercy Housing seniors at Page Commons in Arizona gained new friendships over the holidays. For the past 11 years, the Gilbert Chamber Foundation has helped coordinate a special holiday program that helps fulfill wish lists from low-income seniors. The Adopt-A-Senior program has continued to grow each year and offers the local community a chance to bring joy and spread the magic of the holidays.
This year, the Gilbert Chamber Foundation found donors to sponsor 115 seniors within the community which made it possible to adopt EVERY senior at Page Commons!
Built in 2005, Page Commons is located in the heart of Gilbert’s downtown Historic District and features one- and two-bedroom apartment homes. It offers seniors ages 55 years and older an independent lifestyle with a variety of amenities and supportive services. It’s also close to recreational facilities and parks.
Kristine helped organize the Adopt-A-Senior program for the Gilbert Chamber Foundation and was amazed by the incredible generosity from the community. It helps support the Foundation’s mission and provides opportunities for the community to help meet the needs of local residents.
“The Gilbert Chamber Foundation is dedicated to advancing the quality of life in Gilbert through education, leadership, and community enhancement. We view the Adopt-A-Senior program as an opportunity to bring community members and local businesses together to support those less fortunate,” said Kristine.
What an amazing program! Thank you Gilbert Chamber Foundation, for spreading so much joy over the holidays and making Page Commons seniors feel so loved!
