May 11Community in Seattle
The generosity and spirit of community is alive and well at Mercy Magnuson Place in Seattle.
In Spring of 2019, Mercy Housing Northwest opened the doors to Mercy Magnuson Place, providing 148 affordable homes on the Magnuson Park campus. Access to healthy food and essentials for families with limited incomes was a main concern among the community, and has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both residents and the community are welcome to participate in the pop-up food pantry, which first started operating in August of 2019. Resident Services staff have been all smiles while passing out meals and food donated by people and groups in the community.
We are grateful for our supporters who are helping low-income residents get something to eat during the coronavirus pandemic. If you would like to donate to the Resident Relief Fund, click here.
