ATLANTA – To help further its mission in Atlanta, Mercy Housing Southeast has received a $75,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. The grant is from its general operating support grantmaking program. This highly competitive grantmaking program will provide unrestricted funding to be used to advance and expand Mercy Housing’s mission to create stable, vibrant, and

healthy community by increasing the supply of program-enriched affordable housing across the Metro Atlanta region.

“We are grateful to the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta for awarding Mercy Housing Southeast this competitive grant,” said James Alexander, president of Mercy Housing Southeast. “These unrestricted funds will be very important in helping us continue to advance our mission in Greater Atlanta.”

In April 2018, Mercy Housing Southeast will cut the ribbon on its latest affordable housing project – the Senior Residences at Mercy Park. Located in Chamblee, Georgia, this affordable senior housing (62-plus) will have 79 units and is being constructed adjacent to a full-service health clinic run by Mercy Care.

In May 2017, Mercy Housing Southeast officially opened its latest affordable housing development, the Reynoldstown Senior Residences — a 70-unit, independent-living, affordable senior housing facility servicing residents aged 62 and older. Residents started moving into the new development in November 2016. It now is at full occupancy.
