DENVER, CO —Interstate Restoration’s 12th annual charity golf tournament yielded $22,500 to benefit Mercy Housing, an affordable housing non-profit that serves thousands of Coloradans with low incomes by providing them with affordable homes and services designed to help them live to their full potential.

“We are so grateful for Interstate Restoration’s continued support,” said Chris Burkhardt, Chief Operations Officer of Mercy Housing. “Interstate’s generous gift will help provide safe, decent homes and Resident Services to the families, seniors, veterans, and people with special needs living in Mercy Housing communities.”

Interstate Restoration’s fundraiser comes as the state’s affordable housing crisis continues, and in many places worsens. One in four renters in the state pays more than half their income on housing costs. Of these renters, most are families with children, seniors, households with at least one disabled adult, and veterans.

“Interstate cultivates a “giving mission” within the company,” said Chuck Borden, executive vice president, of Interstate. “One of our core values is to always “do the right thing” and we believe that giving back is an integral part of our culture. We are beyond thankful our clients, vendors, and employees share our charitable passion for helping others in need.”

Since its inception, the annual golf classic has raised nearly $212,500 for charitable causes. More than 96 golfers participated in the 2016 charity tournament with 25 companies providing sponsorships to raise funds for the event held September 9th at Lone Tree Golf Course in Lone Tree, Colorado. Corporate sponsors contributing a total of $10,000 were Prep-Rite Coatings & Contracting, Aramsco, Sunbelt Rentals, CRDN; a platinum sponsor contributing $2,000 total was OneSource; Gold sponsors contributing a total of $6,000 were Region 8 Environmental, Anton Collins Mitchell LLP, FastModeling, and CMI Mechanical.
