My Partners in Hope,
Just recently, Sister Lillian was joined by family, friends and fellow housing advocates, as well as many of you at a retirement party honoring her 27 years of outstanding service and leadership as CEO to Mercy Housing. The event was a beautiful tribute to her life’s work, as well as a celebration of what is sure to be equally inspiring work by Sister Lillian in her future endeavors.
The evening concluded with the announcement of the Live in Hope Fund in honor of our friend, Sister Lillian, and dedicated to supporting Mercy Housing’s innovative Resident Service programs. A lead gift was given by Lew Ranieri, a real estate industry leader and Wall Street veteran who shares Sister Lillian’s commitment and understands that the people we serve are always at the forefront of her heart. They are the reason she has persevered in this work, even when doing so was difficult. That unwavering commitment will be preserved for years to come through this new fund.
We are very grateful to Mr. Ranieri for his support, and to everyone who came together to wish Sister Lillian well in the next chapter of her life. I’d like to invite you to watch a video honoring Sister Lillian’s career that served as the centerpiece of the celebration.
On behalf of Sister Lillian and all the people who come home to Mercy Housing each day, thank you for your support!
Live in Hope!
