Washington Advocacy Day at the State Capitol

Over 600 people attended Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day on Feb. 11, 2013 in Olympia, WA. This empowering event was an opportunity to rally together, and voice your opinion to senators and representatives, with one common message: everyone deserves the opportunity to live in a safe, healthy, affordable home.

Advocating for housing continues to be an ongoing effort, and we need your help to make sure our state supports funding for Washington’s most vulnerable people. We are asking our legislatures to fund The WA State Housing Trust Fund at $175 million for this biennium, to help ensure that over 4,300 households where have a place to call home. This Trust Fund is an effective tool for helping solve our state’s affordable housing shortage, establishing new homes and creating good jobs in our local communities. Contact your legislature and ask them to support the Housing Trust Fund, learn how with our partners atWashington Low Income Housing Alliance.
