Mercy Services Corporation, Mercy Housing’s property management subsidiary, is among the National Affordable Housing Management Association’s 2009 Affordable 100 — a list of the 100 largest affordable multifamily property management companies.

NAHMA compiles the list based on affordable unit counts. The company must receive one of five federal subsidies to be included.

Mercy Services Corporation was ranked No. 18, and was one of three nonprofit organizations within the top 20. The other two nonprofits are National Church Residences and Volunteers of America.

Mercy Services Corporation manages 15,041 units, of which 14,237 are subsidized, in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Utah and Washington. Of the 223 properties that Mercy Services Corporation manages, 36 are managed for third-party organizations.
