Mercy Housing Idaho to raffle off playhouse at block party

The playhouse is valued at $3,000 and will be raffled off at the June 13th Block Party in Filer, Idaho.
Someone will win a new playhouse, complete with a front porch, kitchenette with countertop, vinyl siding and working lights, when Mercy Housing Idaho announces the winner of its raffle at the June 13th Block Party in Filer, Idaho.
The raffle is just one of several activities taking place on June 13th as Mercy Housing Idaho celebrates the 100th home built as part of the organization’s Self-Help Homeownership Program. Each family who enrolls in the program commits 35 hours a week for more than 10 months to build their home and the homes of their neighbors. The “sweat equity” they accomplish is used as the down payment on their new home.
Attendance and food at the Block Party are free. Activities will include home tours, playhouse raffle & auction, birdhouse package raffles, music, food and the opportunity to learn more about Mercy Housing Idaho’s activities in the Magic Valley and around the state.
Raffle tickets for the playhouse can be purchased the day of the event or beforehand at the following Magic Valley, Idaho, locations: Jensen Jewelers, Depot Grill, 9 Beans & a Burrito, Arctic Circle (Kimberly& Buhl), Cedar Lanes, La Posada and Garibaldi’s.
Sponsors of the Block Party include Magic Valley Bank, Twin Falls Title & Escrow, U.S. Bank, Pepsi, ConAgra Foods, Mix 103, Magic Valley Mall, Quality Truss, and Jeffrey J. Hepworth PA & Associates, Attorneys at Law.
The event will take place in the cul-de-sac of Chisum Circle in Filer. For more information about the Block Party or the Single Family Self-Help program, contact Mercy Housing Idaho at info@mercyhousing.org.
